Setup An Email Account In Outlook


1. Open Outlook

2. In Microsoft Outlook, select Tools > E-mail Accounts.

3. On the E-mail Accounts window, select "Add a new e-mail account" and click Next.

4. For your server type, select "POP3" and click Next.

5. On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, enter your information as follows:  

  • Your Name: Enter your first and last name.
  • E-mail Address: Enter your e-mail address.
  • User Name: Enter your e-mail address again.
  • Password: Enter the password you were given for this account.
  • Incoming mail server (POP3): Your incoming server is mail.coolexample.com, where "coolexample.com" is the name of your domain.
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Enter the SMTP address you were given by your Internet Service Provider (Bell, Rogers et. al.)

5. Click "More Settings."

6. On the Internet E-mail Settings window, select the "Outgoing Server" tab.

7. Select "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."

8. Enter in the Username and Password provided to you by your Internet Service Provider.

9. Click OK.

10. Click Next



11. Click Finish
